About Naraka Chaturdashi
Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali) recalls Krishna’s victory over the demon Narakasura.
How it is observed
Many families take an early oil bath (abhyanga snan) before sunrise and light lamps in the evening. In South India this is the main day of Deepavali.
About the time shown: The ritual bath is taken before sunrise while Chaturdashi is current.
